Lakeview Presbyterian Weekday School
The children had a very exciting month learning about Pilgrims and Native Americans. There was a Pow-Wow with the three older classes. They painted faces, made shakers, played games, read stories, cooked over an open fire and made jewelry. They also had Thanksgiving Feasts together. It is fun to learn about our world and history through play and hands on activities.
Now we are getting ready for Christmas. We will be reading the story of the 1st Christmas and
talking about Jesus and his birthday. We will make presents for our parents and decorations for the Christmas trees. We will learn new carols and sing them for our families at the holiday party.
The new playground is very exciting. It will be fun to see children playing during the day. Some of our families are looking forward to playing there after school too.
The children at the school and staff want to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas!
Lakeview Presyterian Church Weekday School's program is centered around each child's lively and free participation in activities that arouse his curiosity and channel his energies, his talents, his mind, and his great capacity for living.
